Model blows up before it starts
I'm using roms for a month of simulations. But the model crashes just as it starts to run and I would like to know why this is. logs prompts me with: Maximum grid stiffness ratios. rx0 = 9.648683E-01 (Beckmann and Haidvogel) rx1 = 8.844612E+00 (Haney) Where did this go wrong? Is my simulation area ...

About the CPP option for the WRF-ROMS-SWAN coupling model
Hi! I was recently able to run the WRF-ROMS-SWAN coupled model successfully using COAWST. Now I would like to consider the effects of some wave-current interactions. What should I do if I wish to add the effects of whitecapping (WEC_WCAP?) to the model? Do I turn on these switches at the same time ...

How does ROMS stratification translate into water depth?
In the roms 'his' file the seawater temperature, salinity etc. data is divided into 16 layers. I know that when the topography changes, the depth of seawater under the same layer is different. How does ROMS stratification translate into water depth?
I have set the initial boundary conditions of ROMS to N=16, so the seawater temperature, salinity etc. data in the his file is also divided into 16 layers. I know that the depth of seawater under the same water layer varies when the topography varies. So I would like to know how can I get the data ...

Questions about the setting of the SST in WRF-ROMS coupling mode
I have recently been using the wrf-roms coupling mode. When looking into to SST, it was found that the sea surface temperature obtained from the roms simulation does not basically change with time. That is, the sst does not produce a diurnal temperature difference. There is also little change in SST ...

I conducted simulations of typhoons near the South China Sea. I have also used wrf and wrf-roms models for comparison. However, I found that the path of the typhoon centre was more inaccurate in wrf-roms mode than in wrf mode. I would like to know how you have adjusted for similar situations. How ...

Re: Questions about wrf-roms coupling
ok i spent some time on this. I think the issue is a bathy mismatch between the child and the parent, especially near the boundary.
