I am facing the below mentioned error, when I am running ROMS -
PART OF THE LOG :
Code: Select all
Analytical header files used:
ROMS/Functionals/ana_btflux.h
MAIN: Abnormal termination: BLOWUP.
REASON: MaxSpeed = 2.0E+01
I have tried decreasing DT to 30 , but the same error is persistent. Any guess what could be causing this error.

hello
1. The bathymetry was not smoothed. The value of rx0, rx1 are too high.
2. Please check out the unit of the Sea level pressure.
3. Please check out the humidity(specific, or relative) unit and match the unit in varinfo.dat

This time I used 2021 data and tried to run ROMS with the suggested changes. But after running a bit longer than before (~ 1 hr 20 seconds) it is still blowing up.
Not sure what's the problem.

Please check out your lateral boundary conditions.
I saw many 0 value at eastern and western boundaries.
Also, when it blows up, could you plot horizontal u, v, temp, salt and upload here?
It might not the major cause but I doubt about your unit at the humidity. Are you sure that it is relative humidity?

Seems like your initial condition does not match with the boundary condition.
Could you plot your initial condition(u,v, temp, salt) here?
