Hello,
I am trying to compile ROMS using Compaq Visual Fortran 6.1 in a Windows XP computer, and I am unable to make it work. I have tried to modify the jobcomp file, but I am getting too many errors when trying to compile and build the executable. I wonder if somebody can please help me in this matter. I know most people are not using Windows as their operating system, but I thought this should work anyway in a Windows computer. Therefore, I was wondering if somebody knows how my jobcomp has to be defined for the compilation process to work.
Again, any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much
Juan
Problems compiling in Windows
i had tried a long time ago to compile roms in that utility, but had some troubles. I think I eventually got it to work, but needed to set the correct preprocessor step, library locations, etc.
I suggest on a Windows machine that you use the Cygwin environment. I have found it much easier to just compile at the command prompt using make. There has been a lot of effort to get the makefiles and the compilers folder to function properly.
