Different TNUDG / M3NUDG for each boundary side

Hi all,

Is there anyone here ever adjust the ROMS CODE to change the TNUDG / M3NUDG for different side (North, South, East, West). Is it will affect the volume conservation in the model domain?

The case is, in my model domain the North Equatorial Counter Current cant freely radiate out during the change of season. I have used daily lateral boundary condition for U,V,T,S and 3-hourly data for atmospheric forcing. For now, i used TNUDG=360, M3NUDG=360, and OBCFAC=120 / OBCFAC=72. And I was thinking if adjust different nudging timescale is the correct way to do.
