Readings for different CPP options

Good day!

I'm trying to do a Coupled Model between WRF+ROMS and would like to know more about the different CPP options available for the ROMS part.

Are there any reading materials out there that summarizes the different options (governing equations, applicability, limitations). I would like to read about it first so that I can apply the options that are applicable to what I am doing.
