Roms Upwelling testing case

#1 Unread post by Lightness »

I am a new user to ROMS but interested to use it in my PhD studies. I downloaded the codes by MobaXterm but through following the instruction of running Upwelling testing case the names and codes which I have in ROMS external folder do not match with that of roms wiki. For example I have roms_Upwelling.in instead of Ocean_Upwelling.in. The file also does not have this part of the code
else
export NETCDF_INCDIR=/opt/gfortransoft/serial/netcdf3/include
export NETCDF_LIBDIR=/opt/gfortransoft/serial/netcdf3/lib
fi
Can you kindly help what went wrong!

When you downloaded the ROMS trunk, you got the latest version. There have been some naming changes that are not reflected in the wiki yet but roms_Upwelling.in and ocean_Upwelling.in are effectively the same, just with a different filename. That particular change is only a few weeks old: https://www.myroms.org/projects/src/ticket/794. If you're determined to have the same default filenames as in the wiki, you could download a previous subversion of the code.
