unable to download soure code

Hi everyone,
I am trying to download the latest version of roms model, I used the below command
svn checkout --username sara.oceanography https://www.myroms.org/svn/src/trunk MyDir
sara.oceanography is the my Roms user name, My user name in my machine is different.
I am confused which on of them I should use to download.

I would appreciate it if you could help me to download it (I am new to linux and modeling ).

Another option is to "git clone ..." from github. Mark Hadfield is maintaining a copy of the trunk code there while I have my ice branch there too.
