I'm using the COAWST to simulate the sediment transport process. When I turn on the CPP option SSW_CALC_UB, the wave induced bottom stress is much bigger than the result of turning off the CPP option. I know when I turn on that option, ROMS will recalculate the wave bottom orbital velocity(Uwave_rms) based on the wave height and wave frequency, But I'm wondering how the SWAN calculate the Uwave_rms? Why there are so big difference between those two results? Thanks very much.
