i need your experience to chose appropriate test for my application. my aim is coupling roms and swan and use nesting approach for rip current modeling.

Are you planning to use the ice branch of ROMS? I do not support the online nesting from the latest ROMS. You might check with John Warner about using COAWST instead, and ask about the status of ice in there.
