since I am new with compiler concept, there are a lot basic questions in my mind. generally I found that some program such as netcdf, swan, roms need compiler (such as icc,ifort, gfortran and ... ) and also I read in forum that linux has dev files that compile with gfortran and gcc not with ifort. Now I want to know in roms and swan coupling case that use netcdf4, it is necessary to use same compiler for all of them or we can use various compilers for them simultaneously.
it means when we use FORT=ifort hence, we must set up swan and netcdf4 with ifort too. and second one is that if we use ifort for all of them? if it is, what we can for dev files?
