Hydrodynamic Modeler, Assistant/Associate Professor, Req. #1232
Job Description: Teaches a 3/3 load of undergraduate courses in the marine science program, including introductory and upper division coursework based on area of specialty. Conducts research/scholarship appropriate to rank and specialty. Engages in service activities for the department, university and/or community. Assists in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and assessing of programs and curricula for the College of Arts & Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications:Doctoral degree in Marine Science, Oceanography, or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent accreditation. A demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Experience in numerical hydrodynamic water circulation modeling. ABD will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2011. If degree is not conferred, appointment will be made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract.
