The Institut des Sciences de la Mer de Rimouski (ISMER) is looking for a candidate to fill a regular faculty position in physical oceanography. ISMER is an autonomous Institute of Université du Québec à Rimouski (Rimouski, Qc, Canada), and includes faculty and support staff in all major disciplines of oceanography.
The position is aimed at a physical oceanographer with expertise in 3-D modeling of ocean circulation in coastal zone and estuary and in the analysis of dynamical processes at different spatial and temporal scales (turbulence, internal and wind waves, boundary layers, eddies, fast-ice or sea ice). The candidate will show an interest in the interactions between atmosphere, continent, river-water and ocean and in the coupling with benthic or pelagic ecosystem.
