A short position description:
The individual selected for this Physical Scientist position will:
- Serve as team leader of the modeling team within the CO-OPS
Oceanographic Division's Planning and Monitoring and Analysis Branch.
- Provide direction and standards for the operation and maintenance of
oceanographic hydrodynamic models and products; coordinate the
acquisition, processing, analyzing, and quality control of oceanographic
data for operational input to hydrodynamic models; develop scientific
computer software for operations and maintenance of oceanographic
hydrodynamic models and the operational products derived from these models;
- Coordinate the preparation of assigned presentations, reports, and
SOPS for operational hydrodynamic models and their products in support
of CO-OPS water level, current, modeling and forecasting activities.
