MOD_NCPARAM problem

Hello everybody,

I compiled successfully ROMS, but when trying to run the test case upwelling I got the following message. I would appreciate some guidance. The name of the executable file is oceanG

It's telling you the trouble right here. From the directory in which you are running oceanG, it is expecting to find the file ROMS/External/varinfo.dat. Either change ocean_upwelling.in to provide the true path to the varinfo.dat file or copy the thing to where it wants it.

Note: the average user is expected to be able to solve this level of problem on their own.

thanks for your reply, I am not an average user, and so I do appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. I am sure that at some point, once I become more proficient, this type of questions will not appear in this forum, and also hopefully my questions will not annoy anybody.
