I think there is a bit of confusion under the Wiki page for Sediment Applications.

This is probably due to some not correct synchronization beten the WIKI pages and the ROMS release. However, since it is all "out there", I think we should harmonize this.
Point 1
-------
If you click on TEST_CHAN casem there are no pages linked to.
If you click on SED_TEST1, you have back a rather exaustive page of explanations.
However the page describes a domain of 10000x1000 m, while in the ana_grid.h file it appears that the grid sizes are 300x36x10 meters, and in the *.in file we have 100x12x10 grid points.
It seems therefore that the documentation shown for SED_TEST1 is not the correct one
(maybe it is the one originally emplyed for TEST_CHAN?)
Point 2

If it is so, i.e. if the link currently valid for SED_TEST1 should be directed for the case TEST_CHAN, it would be nice, if possible, to have better described the 2 different simulation carried out, since it is not really clear in the corresponding cppdefs.h file what is used for Sim. 1 or Sim. 2 in the current release.

Assuming that SED_TEST1 case comes with no documentation, then, I would be interested in getting some lines of documentation on this (I volunteer to contribute together with the "father" of the case) since I find this a vey instructive test case.
Namely, it would be nice to discuss the kind of B.C. adopted. The case as it is released runs for a very limited time period (1000 time steps having 1 sec of integration, i.e. around 16 minutes). This is more than enough to show ROMS potentialities, and if you run it longer, say 2 hours, the model seems to hold together with no problems.

do you want to email Dave Robertson and ask to have it changed? Also, that app is described in our paper:
Warner, J.C., Sherwood, C., Arango, H., and Signell, R. (2005). “Performance of Four Turbulence Closure Models Implemented Using a Generic Length Scale Method.” Ocean Modelling, v. 8/1-2, p. 81-113.
and should be referenced. I am not sure if it is set up for case 1 or 2. if u run the code and compare results to the figures it should be obvious. I think the worst scenario was with MY25 depending on how the length scale was imposed.
The sed_toy test case does not currently have any demanding functionality. It was set up to test 1D sed applications, such as waves, Erate, etc. But it is open for modifications. I think we could just keep it basic, and tell people that it is available for easy modification to test 1D functionalities.

thanks for your prompt answer. Concerning the last point, tough, I was *not* referring to SED_TOY (the 1-D case), but to SED_TEST1. Indeed in herelease, besides SED_TOY, we do have 2 distinct cases, SED_TEST1 and TEST_CHANNEL. The 2 tests seem somehow similar in the release, but not quite for size and BCs. That is why I was suggesting to add some lines of documentation. Or maybe there are no reasons to have both of them?
