We seek a candidate to work in the frame of a research project on Adriatic sea modeling, with enphasis on dense shelf water cascades (DSWC) and interactions with bottom morphology.
The main objectives of the project are related to explorng DSWC processes in the context of the southern Adriatic region, developing modeling experiments and modeling tools for the analysis of already collected data and participang on at least one dedicated cruise. Process studies and more realistic applications will be developed.
Candidates should have in their background good computational skills and experience in ocean modeling; Ph.D. title is preferential but not mandatory.
Experience with ROMS configurations including sediment transport and coupling with waves (nearshore processes) are mostly welcome.
