I am currently attempting to run ROMS with an Ice shelf and have come across MOVE_SET_DEPTH in the step2d_LF_AM.h in Nonlinear.
What is MOVE_SET_DEPTH and what does it do?

This is an internal flag for ROMS. There is not reason for you to play with this option. Check the following 
ticket for details. This is done for grid nesting.
I have noticed some activity in this forum about ROMS internal C-preprocessing options which are defined in globaldef.h. Users should not modify neither use the options defined within. This only reserved for algorithm developement and advanced changes to ROMS.
