Ocean Modeling and Programming Position Available at Princeton University
Position Summary: The program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences has a Computer Programming/Ocean Modeling position available. Responsibilities entail developing and utilizing software for modeling and data analysis research on continental shelf/slope and coastal processes. The position is for 1 year, renewable depending on performance and funding availability.
Essential Qualifications: The successful candidate will be familiar with Fortran-90 and parallel computing with MPI on UNIX systems. Knowledge of advanced visualization using IDL and/or MATLAB is highly desirable. Familiarity with ocean models such as HYCOM, NCOM, POM or/& ROMS is desirable.
Education Required: Master or PhD Degree
