The Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at North Carolina
State University invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position
in physical oceanography/coastal circulation modeling.
Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in physical oceanography, applied
mathematics, computational fluid dynamics, or a related field. Skills in
Unix/Linux, Matlab and parallel computing are essential. Prior experience
with community ocean models, particularly ROMS, is a plus. Demonstrated
proficiency in written and spoken English is also required.
The postdoctoral scholar position is awarded initially for a one-year period,
and may be renewed in one-year increment based on performance.
The salary depends on the candidate’s qualification and experience.
