Hi,
I am using ROMS-model (Fennel coupled setup) for the Indian ocean. I have noticed that in the input script for Fennel (bio_fennel.in) , a constant value for atmospheric CO2 is prescribed.
The time-series data of atmospheric CO2 is not included in the script.
Can anyone please answer my query, that which data of atmospheric CO2 is used in driving the model using coupled Fennel setup?
Is it any time series data or the constant value of CO2 written in the input script?
Query regarding atmospheric CO2 value in ROMS Fennel coupled model.
Re: Query regarding atmospheric CO2 value in ROMS Fennel coupled model.
The code uses a constant CO2 concentration, and the default value may be out of date for the contemporary atmosphere.
If you look in the code where that value is used, you'll see it's not difficult to introduce your own simple time series such as a uniformly increasing concentration, or even modulated with a simple mean seasonal cycle fit to one of the global time series.
