A research position in water quality modeling of surface waters is available at the Hydraulics and Environment Department of the Portuguese National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC):

In the scope of the Portuguese Research Program "Compromisso com a Ciência", funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), LNEC has opened an application for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow post, with a 5 year contract and a salary of ~42.5 k€/year. The application deadline is November 30, 2007.

Job summary:
LNEC Estuaries and Coastal Zones (NEC, www.dha.lnec.pt/nec) and Water Resources and Hydraulic Structures Divisions (NRE, www.dha.lnec.pt/nre) have an open position for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in water quality or ecological modeling of surface waters (fresh or saline). Applicants should have a PhD in water quality or ecology in surface waters, with emphasis on numerical modeling.
