Low temperature issue

#1 Unread post by navin »

Hi I am trying to do a hot run for Bay of Bengal for year 2010, using ECCO2 for intial and boundry condition. Tropflux daily data for surface forcing except E-P, which is from ftp://ecco.jpl.nasa.gov/ECCO2/cube92_la ... rt_90S90N/. Model resolution is 1/8 degree.
Starting from February model starts coling in northern part which keeps on increasing with time.
I am unable to understand why this is happening

I tried this experiment with all surface forcing data from ftp://ecco.jpl.nasa.gov/ECCO2/cube92_la ... rt_90S90N/ here too.
Even tried with QCORECTION with ERA-Interim data but did not get sufficient improvement.

I have compared my model temp with AVHRR temperature.
I am attaching my model set up ant temperature plots.

Are these low temperatures related to a vertical velocity?
