Hi,
I have recently set up LTRANS on my machine (MacOSX) following the userguide provided.
To check that LTRANS is running correctly I have run the program with the examples files provided in the installation package and compared what is on my screen to the example given in the guide.
My output matches the example given in the user guide up to a point, however, after the line
****** BEGIN ITERATIONS *******
write output to file, day = 4.1666666666666664E-002
The program freezes.
According to the user guide I should expect to see something similar to what I've copied below, but I'm only getting the 1st line
****** BEGIN ITERATIONS *******
write output to file, day = 4.166666666666666E‐002
write output to file, day = 8.333333333333333E‐002
existing matrix,stepf= 4
write output to file, day = 0.125000000000000
existing matrix,stepf= 5
.
.
.
.
write output to file, day = 4.37500000000000
existing matrix,stepf= 35
write output to file, day = 4.41666666666667
existing matrix,stepf= 36
write output to file, day = 4.45833333333333
existing matrix,stepf= 37
write output to file, day = 4.50000000000000
write endfile.csv
Time to run model = 4 minutes and 58.983 seconds.
****** END LTRANS *******
Does anyone know why this is happening? Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks
LTRANS installation and initial run
Re: LTRANS installation and initial run
Hi mkjames,
I recently started working with LTRANS too! I ran into a similar issue which was resolved after I concatenated my hourly netcdf files into .nc files that spanned 24 hrs. Could that be your issue as well? If not, what other trouble-shooting steps have you taken? Are your initial particle locations reading in okay?
Best,
Emily
