about nudging

#1 Unread post by shrikantmp »

Dear ROMS users

I have a confusion regarding nudging in ROMS. In my application domain, I have 2 open boundaries. The boundary conditions file is prepared using climatology(WOA09) for salinity and temperature and there is no seperate climatology file. Open boundary conditions for salinity and temperature are RadNud. Now, I want to nudge salinity and temperature to their climatologies only at the open boundaries and not in the interior of the domain or at the surface. What options in the .in file should I set to True and what options should I define in cppdefs.h? Since I have not prepared a climatology file, I have set both LtracerCLM and LnudgeTCLM to F. Will this work?

Yes, it sounds like you are setting things correctly.
