Hello everyone
I am running ROMS model during cyclone case my Roms surface parameter is coming correct but problem with sub-surface variable (temperature salinity). In my ROMS output thermocline is 30-40 meter but actually it should be 60-80 meter.
Could you give me any Idea to improve my thermocline.
Thanks in advance

Issue with thermocline in ROMS output
Re: Issue with thermocline in ROMS output
How did you give the surface forcing time interval(here, wind will be the critical factor)?
What are the horizontal and vertical resolutions?
Which scheme did you use for the vertical turbulent closure? (say, MY2.5, LMD, GLS, etc)

Re: Issue with thermocline in ROMS output
Actually I am using COAWST (ROMS + WRF). so all forcing term are providing by WRF model with the interval of 600 second
And LMD with SMAGORINSKY scheme which I used
and other information you can see in my header and roms input file which I attached
Also I am getting unusual sst cooling and magnitude of surface current is large which is unexpected

Re: Issue with thermocline in ROMS output
Check out the cyclone strength(Zonal and Meridonal wind) from WRF output and see if it's reasonable.
You are giving very large bottom drag coefficient now. I was wondering whether this large value influence the thermocline depth.
Try different vertical turbulent closure(say MY2.5, GLS)
What is the horizontal resolution?
Last but minor, plese double check cpp option (MIX_S_TS and MIX_GEO_TS).
