Position Announcement
The Waves Group in the Physical Oceanography Department at CICESE (Ensenada, B.C., Mexico) seeks to fill a post-doctoral position in the area of hydrodynamic modeling. The position is funded through a major interdisciplinary national project in the Gulf of Mexico. One of the aims of the Waves Group in this project is the development of a wave-current coupling system based on the "vortex-force" formalism.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Oceanography or related fields. Experience with ocean modeling, and in particular the use and development of ROMS in coupled mode (COAWST), is highly desirable. The candidate must have a proven proficiency in scientific programming (Fortran, Matlab, Phyton). The applicant must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
