Hi,everyone:
I'm a new user of ROMS.I've trapped by an open boundary issue. My case's running from 2013.01.01-2013.02.28,I've chosen three days' result here(see attachments). As you can see from the attached pictures, there's something wrong with the open boundary current,at the location about(7N,140E), which has became an eddy.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

i am a new user and my region is the same as yours. Is your model get steady? i think your time is too short to finish "spin up " if your initial u and v value is zero.Maybe i am wrong

Re: Open Boundary issue for current
yes,it's just a start, the time is not long enough then. the problem has solved now, thank you so much!
can i ask you another question? What should i do to set the real spin up time ? is there something like option in the *.in file?

The spin-up time is determined by the details of your domain - things like domain size and depth, stratification, etc. I once had a rotating tank for which the spin-up time was less than an hour, unstratified, hours when stratified.
