Hello,
I am modeling a vertical profile of a salinity in a estuary, depth around 25-30 meters. My case is that wind blow down-estuary, so the the pycnocline might be deeper, so the surface mixed layer might be about 12 meters according to measurement. But my model choosing a fix station did not fully capture that. If the forcing is correct, what might be the cause?
Blue line is the model results;Green points are measurement. It is happening in winter. Down-estuary Wind is large.
Thanks

Which vertical mixing scheme are you using? There's more than one way to get the stratification wrong.

Hi Kate,
I am using TS_MPDATA advection scheme and try both K-w and GLS turbulent scheme, parameter just as Warner(2005).
