About chlolophyll in NPZD model

Dear ROMS Users,

I am trying to calculates chlolophyll concentration from the output of NPZD model.

I was wondering how can I calculate the chlolophyll concentration.

Would you show me the way how to calculate the chlolophyll?

Formulae or matlab mfile would be very helpful.

Do you use the proto-type NPZD model? The Fennel type model already has the state variable of Chlorophyll.

I know that the Fennel type bio model has a Chlorophyll variable. But I just want to start the bio-physical model as simple as possible.
