That's a good question... It is difficult to find everything in a single book. I think that Stephen Griffies book (Fundamentals of Ocean Climate Models, 2004, Princeton University Press) is a good one to have in our collection. It is over 500 pages and have several chapters that are very interesting. It is easy to follow his equation notation (tensors).
It will be nice to have a ROMS book that describes everything. It will take long time and the expertise of several of the ROMS developers. For example, the adjoint-based algorithms may take around 200 pages, if we take into account all the separated papers that we already published.
