Re: Problems with surface elevations
Hi everyone, I’m trying to simulate tide currents in Yangtze River Estuary with ROMS. I only used harmonic constants without currents as open boundary forcing, which were calculated from a big domain model. My colleges have run the model well using these harmonic constants with FVCOM and DELDT3D. ...

changed some water grid into land grid,the model blow up
hello everyone I had a problem.Please help me.THANKS! I run a real case in Changjiang Estuary.The model can run well in pictureI and pictureII.However,only changed some water grid into land grid as described in pictureIII,the model blow up abnormally. the record file as followed: Process Information ...

Re: problems about UV_TIDES
1、did you add obc by changing ANA_* files? you d better make a forcing file with cdl 2、i have encountered the problem before, cause some NaN is included in OBC, maybe you have the same problem, i guess. thanks wuhe,you are right! I examined the data in OBC, finding some NaN is included.I changed it, ...

Re: problems about UV_TIDES
It's not obvious to me what's wrong. Have you tried a shorter timestep? I tried it in dt and ndtfast,but it still didn't run in the first time step. ! Time-Stepping parameters. NTIMES == 86400 DT == 1.0d0 NDTFAST == 10 How can I search the reasons for this? kate,thanks for your advance.

Re: problems about UV_TIDES
What error do you get? Thanks kate! Adding the UV_TIDES to the cpp,the first step is NaN.When I put 'undef UV_TIDES',the model can run regularly. the log file as followed INITIAL: Configuring and initializing forward nonlinear model ... Vertical S-coordinate System: level S-coord Cs-curve at_hmin ...

problems about UV_TIDES
dear all I run a real case of tide, using tpxo model data as my OBC data. When I add the UV_TIDES to the boundary,it can't run.If using 'undef UV_TIDES',it can work. the OBC in cpp.h of my simulation as followed /*Open boundary options*/ #define RAMP_TIDES #define SSH_TIDES #define ANA_FSOBC #define ...

Re: model stopped with strange results
Hi,feroda I run using HPC and my configuration is ! Output history, average, diagnostic files parameters. LDEFOUT == T NHIS == 60 NDEFHIS == 0 NTSAVG == 1 sometimes it continued to work at the time of the 90 days,but sometimes it failed. My teacher suggested some problems about core storage may ...

model stopped with strange results
Hi, Dear all! I ran a simulation of tide of a real case,then a confused question was arisen. MY time configuration is ! Time-Stepping parameters. NTIMES == 172800 DT == 60.0d0 NDTFAST == 10 But my model stopped at 90 days with this result: 129595 89 23:55:00 2.954877E-02 2.500259E+02 2.500554E+02 6 ...
