2009 ROMS/TOMS Asia-Pacific Workshops

University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, March 31-April 2, 2009
University of Hawaii, Manoa, Hawaii, October, 2009

(Not to be confused with the Grenoble Workshop, Oct 6-8, 2008)

We are inviting you to participate at the 2009 ROMS/TOMS Asia-Pacific Workshops to be held at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and University of Hawaii, Manoa, Hawaii. The invitation is open to everybody that wants to attend and we encourage our Asian users to participate. We have been thinking about the Asia-Pacific workshops for awhile and decided to split them between Sydney and Hawaii to facilitate traveling. The dates for the workshop in Hawaii are still in the planning and we will let you know the exact dates in the future. As at the 2007 UCLA Workshop, we will have a day of ROMS training sessions.

The registration for the Sydney Workshop is open until January 5, 2009. The abstracts for oral presentations and posters are due by January 30, 2009. To register, please log into the ROMS website and fill out the workshop  registration form. This information can be updated often. Notice that there also entries for the abstract(s). If you are not already a ROMS user please fill out this  form to become a ROMS user.

The registration for the Hawaii Workshop is open until July 31, 2009. The abstracts for oral presentations and posters are due by August 28, 2009. To register, please log into the ROMS website and fill out the workshop  registration form. This information can be updated often. Notice that there also entries for the abstract(s).

We will send more information in the future about traveling, hotels and other logistics. As in the past, information will be also posted in the ROMS/TOMS  website as it becomes available.

Looking forward to see you in Sydney or Hawaii,

Organizing Committee,

Hernan G. Arango, IMCS, Rutgers University
John Wilkin, IMCS, Rutgers University
Christopher R Sherwood, USGS, WHOI
Moninya Roughan, University of New South Wales
