Postdoctoral position in Ocean Modeling at Georgia Tech
The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Science at Georgia Tech seeks a postdoctoral scholar in Physical Oceanography/Ocean Modeling.
Qualifications
Ph.D degree, preferably in physical oceanography. Knowledge of mesoscale ocean dynamics, programming skills and/or experience with ROMS would be an asset.
The Postdoctoral scholar will be supervised by Professor Annalisa Bracco and will focus on either 1) Interannual variability and predictability of the eddy field in the Labrador Sea and impacts on the AMOC; 2) Role of mesoscale vortices on primary productivity and transport of organic matter into the deep ocean.
