Hi, all:
Recently, I was preparing to use the LTRANS system to track the particles released in my ROMS model region. I found that the LTRANS system is very useful for me because it can even work well for the irregular model grid system in ROMS. The main goal for me when conducting the ROMS "particle tracking" experiments is to calculate the volume transport of water bodies consisting of the particles. Therefore, I am wondering whether the LTRANS system can guarantee the conservation of volume transport for the released particles along the their pathways or not.
Other questions are associated with the "turbulence module" in the LTRANS system. Firstly, will it lead to a large impact on the final results when I trying to turn on or turn off the "turbulence module"? Secondly, is there a close relationship between the "turbulence module" turning on/off and whether one can treat the particle tracjectory as a streamline or not?
Thanks a lot for your answers!
