Hello,
I wonder why in the Benchmarks examples, the value of VISC2 is 5000, and in the rest of the test cases this value use to be 5.0 reaching a maximum of 100.0 in the Channel test. Why is so high?
Thanks
visc values

In general, you'd want the viscosity value to depend on the grid spacing as described here. The benchmark case is a toy problem in which one large value was used for a range of horizontal resolutions - so the damping is too high, but who cares.
