I am try to run dissolved oxygen simulation in real bay, with ROMS+fennel.h BGC part. I am try to add the NO3 and NH4 deposition from ATMOS in the model to put more nutrients to draw down the bottom dissolved oxygen. General thought, more nutrient , low DO. But strangely, what I see is high DO results comparing no NO3 and NH4 deposition. What I do is changing the flowing code to put a positive value in analytical module.

Should I set a negative value of NO3 or NH4 to describe the nitrogen coming from ATOMS to the sea, rather than a positive value?
It might be similar to consider evaporation or precipitation.
