The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National University of Singapore invites applications for a research associate position in the area of hydrodynamic modeling. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and implementation of particle tracking in an unstructured-grid coastal ocean model.
Applicants must have a M.S/Ph.D in Civil, Environmental or Coastal Engineering, Physical Oceanography or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will have experience in three-dimensional unstructured-grid modeling (SUNTANS, UnTRIM, FVCOM), unstructured mesh generation, solid programming skills in C and be comfortable with working in a parallel computing environment.
The appointment will be for two years initially, with continuation contingent upon progress. The remuneration and benefits are internationally competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Leave and medical benefits will be provided.
