Postdoctoral position: Lake modeling at Purdue University
Postdoctoral position: Lake modeling at Purdue University
A two-year postdoctoral position in hydrodynamic/oceanic numerical modeling is available in the Environmental Fluid Mechanics group at Purdue University’s School of Civil Engineering. The project involves unstructured hydrodynamic modeling of historical conditions in Lake Michigan for the purpose of explaining linkages between hydrodynamics and observed annual variability in fish populations. The successful applicant should have a solid background in coastal ocean or large lake physics and oceanic/hydrodynamic modeling; be able to perform standard time series analysis; have familiarity with high performance computing environments; and have good communication skills that facilitate working in an interdisciplinary environment.
