2010 ROMS/TOMS User Workshop
Hawaii Imin International Conference Center, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, April 5 - 8, 2010
Please check the following link for the workshop agenda:

A PDF version of the program complete with maps to help you get to and from the workshop, tourist attractions and map, the agenda, and all the talk and poster abstracts will be available soon. We need a final head count for the catering service (breaks and reception) so please let us know if you are registered but will be unable to attend.
Lunches will be 90 minutes long to allow you to get to and from any of the several places to eat on campus and check out the posters. Poster sessions will be during lunch and all the breaks on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday we are planning 4 tutorial/lecture sessions. Most of the topics of these tutorials are to be determined but we do know that Andy Moore will be giving a practical 4D-Var lecture.
Presentations will be 30 minutes each. This will include time for questions so plan accordingly, leaving 3-5 minutes for questions and answers. A copy of the program will be provided during registration. The workshop registration fee is set at 120 USD. This fee will cover workshop logistics, catered breaks, reception, and T-shirt. The fee is payable by check or cash but cash is much preferred.
Although not obligatory, we encourage you to use PowerPoint or similar electronic presentation media. Please bring your presentation on a memory stick or CD. Each presentation will be loaded into a single windows based laptop. We ask you to provide your talks during registration or during the breaks before your session. Poster panels will be 46 inches wide by 60 inches tall. Only 8 panels will fit in the meeting room and each panel can hold a poster on each side. Currently, we have 17 posters so one panel will have two landscape oriented posters. Please bring an electronic copy of your poster to the workshop so it can be included in our CD archive. We also plan to load these presentations and posters on the ROMS/TOMS website for future reference.
There is a lot of information on the workshop webpage and new information is posted there often so please check back regularly.
Monday's reception will be held in the oceanography building courtyard near the workshop location and will feature an authentic Hawaiian Luau Menu, and great wines and beers. Directions and further details will be discussed before the first talk on Monday.
Looking forward to seeing you in Hawaii,
