When you prescribe analytical forcing fields what fields does the model precribe at the boundaries ?

Forcing fields are a surface boundary condition. Are you asking about lateral boundary conditions? They are completely separate. The side boundaries come from a NetCDF file or from an analytic formula. Same with the surface forcing. Either way, you have to provide both. Look in ROMS/Functionals for the list of fields you can provide analytically or via files.
