when defining UV_Psource, what parameter defines if it's a source or a sink? the sign of the vertically mass transport? positive for rivers, negative for sinks?
thx a lot.
Guillermo.
Rivers/Sinks
Re: Rivers/Sinks
My recollection is that positive means flow in the positive i-direction or the positive j-direction. So a positive flow in the i-direction is a source if it's on the "western" wall, a sink if it's on an "eastern" wall.
Re: Rivers/Sinks
Thank you Kate,
I haven't read anywhere that the source/sink needs to be against the wall/coastline. I need to place a source/sink in the open i.e., with neighboring grid cells being all wet ones. thx once more.

Re: Rivers/Sinks
Did you want a one grid-box mask with outflow on all four sides? That's what the UV_PSOURCE can do for you. Alternately, there's a QSOURCE but I've never tried it.
