Research Associate/ Senior Research Associate
Wakes in the Natural Environment
A Research Associate with expertise in numerical modelling of oceans using the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS) is sought to work with a team of investigators researching the nature of wakes in the marine, atmospheric and built environments. The successful applicant will use ROMS to investigate effects of stochastic noise in a variety of applications, and is expected to be familiar with the full suite of ROMS software, and participate in fieldwork activities. The team of investigators includes Andrew Moore, Ross Griffiths and Jason Middleton, and the applicant will be based at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
Essential Criteria: PhD with research experience in modelling of geophysical flows and modest publications list (RA); PhD with significant experience in geophysical fluids modelling using primitive equation models, substantial publications in refereed journals, and an international reputation (SRA).
Desirable Criteria: Extensive experience with ROMS applications
