The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites resumes for a twelve month, full-time, grant funded position. Renewal of the position is subject to candidate’s performance for this three years NSF project. Responsibilities:
• Work to develop a program in physical oceanography observation and modeling.
• Conduct the ADCP, Wave observations in the Estuarine and Great Lakes.
• Run the wave modeling, and Finite Volume Coastal Ocean Modeling.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Oceanography, Atmosphere or Coastal Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in physical oceanography observational skills, or numerical modeling experiences.
• Knowledge of numerical ocean model (e/g. FVCOM, SELFE)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Knowledge of deploying ADCPs
