Postdoc position in Physical Oceanography / Shelf Circulation Dynamics: The Coastal and Regional Oceanography Group in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at UNSW Australia (http://www.oceanography.unsw.edu.au) is looking for a postdoctoral level physical oceanographer.
The role involves research into the dynamics and prediction of the East Australian Current as part of a project funded by Australian Research Council Linkage Grant. The objective of the postdoc is to contribute to understanding the dynamics of continental shelf circulation along the coast of SE Australia, and the influence of the western boundary current on shelf processes using modern observations including data from HF radar, moorings and autonomous gliders and a suite of ROMS models including data assimilating models.
