Can ROMS run just in Matlab?

Dear all,

I am new in ROMS, and I just want to use ROMS for dynamic ocean data creat ,
for example ,simulate the temperature changed by time ,
I want to ask ,can ROMS run just in MATLAB ? I have downloaded the MATLAB script on the Internet

Absolutely not. Why do you want to do such a thing? ROMS has over a million lines of code. There are ways to run simple and small Fortran programs in Matlab but the capability is very limited and you need to write an interface.
