Is the nesting module available?

#1 Unread post by antoinemarie »

Hi ROMS' users!!

I've read the last post in the ROMS release. I see that the test case dogbone works, but it's writen "Under construction, be patient..." about the nesting. I have 2 questions about nesting:

- Can I use the nesting module with a realistic case, or should I wait ROMS 4.0?

- If yes, can I use it with the SWAN coupling?

Thanks in advance for your response!

Antoine

We have a version of roms with 2-way grid refinement as part of our coupled modeling system called COAWST. I have also implemented one way grid refinement in swan. The roms and swan grids can both be refined and coupled, all running together and exchanging fields. We have a test case called Inlet_test/Refined as an example of that.
