Re: Boundary Zeta Instability
Thanks John. Temperature and salinity look okay to me, below are surface plots and western boundary profile views of both at the starting time step. The next time step is also basically identical. surface plots v2.jpg w bry plots v2.jpg The boundary conditions that I've set are below. I also tried ...

Boundary Zeta Instability
Hi all. I'm working on setting up a ROMS application using a lambert conformal grid projection that I created with pygridgen, but am finding some strange behavior at the open boundaries with respect to sea surface height (below). Using essentially the same setup, I don't run into this error when ...

Re: Difficulties with LMD mixing
Thanks Kate. I tried a second comparison (rightmost panel in figure) without LMD_BKPP, but appear to be getting a similar error as before. Also below is the list of cppdefs for this new test case. LMD - no BKPP test.jpg /* ** Options for the Channel Instability case used for ROMS/MPAS-O comparisons ...

Re: Difficulties with LMD mixing
I tried taking out LMD_SKPP and LMD_BKPP, if I recall correctly it wouldn't run at all without them

Difficulties with LMD mixing
Hello everyone. I am working on an idealized ROMS simulation that performs well when using a GLS mixing scheme, but seems to produce errors when LMD mixing is implemented for the same test case. As an example, at the first time step the relative vorticities for the LMD mixing case in the attached ...
