WRF quilting support in the WRF-ROMS setup in COAWST
I'm having problems running WRF with quilting specifically in the COAWST setup. Normally, when running WRF with a large number of cores (such as 1024 and more) saving NetCDF output becomes slow (about 30 sec). This is easily resolved by using quilting (by setting namelist parameters nio_tasks_per ...

Re: COAWST problem when using 2way WRF-ROMS
I checked my output in which ROMS domain is completely covered by larger WRF domain and min SST is also zero. Do you know which model is crashing? I would recommend increasing the debug_level to 100 or 1000 in the WRF namelist.input, that should provide additional information. A straightforward test ...

Re: ROMS not bit-reproducible: northern boundary?
I've seen the same behavior with ROMS svn 797, i.e. sensitivity to the number of tiles. We also now that identical setups are not exactly reproducible on a old and new hardware. As you've mentioned, serial runs are bit-reproducible, while DM (distributed memory parallelism) are not. The way I think ...

Re: Curvilinear Coordinates
I'm confused what should be the positive direction for the angle. Does "counterclockwise angle (radians) between the XI-axis and true EAST at RHO-points" mean that angle is calculated from the XI-axis to the the EAST direction with counterclockwise being positive direction? In other words, if I were ...

missing variables in ocean_avg.nc and adaptive time stepping
Dear Community, I can't get evaporation and precipitation rates in the averages output. But I do have sw fluxes and no lw fluxes (because BULK_FLUXES are undefined due to coupled run). I've enabled all 4 of them in the ocean.in file: Aout(idLrad) == T ! lwrad longwave radiation flux Aout(idSrad ...
