There is a matlab based package called Roms tools. It developed by several Roms users.
You can download it from: http://www.brest.ird.fr/Roms_tools/
It include all the material you need to build a grid, forcing files etc. all explained in the provided user manual.

Yes, you can apply Atm. pressure as a body force.
First, you need to include Atm. pressure in your netcdf forcing file. For example, you can edit frc_bulk.cdl in order to create forcing file. In cppdefs.h you need to undef ANA_PAIR.

ROMS on AMD linux pc with ifort 8.1
Hi to all ,
Did any of you try to run roms on AMD pc using intel fortran compiler?
I compiled roms on my AMD using ifort 8.1 but failed to run the model, with severe error 168. With pgf90 the model runs great.
