i want simulation storm surge in 9/2005 and before.
Hơw to get bry,clm,ini files without Hycom, because global analysis data of Hycom only available from 2008 to present.

I want to run coawst in 2d mode for stormsurge simulation.
But I get error when compile atm2ocn_flux.f90:
atm2ocn_flux.f90(65): error #6460: This is not a field name that is defined in the encompassing structure. [RAIN]

i am not sure that using free surface from HYCOM is the best choice. it really depends on your domain. i would think adcirc/osu tides would be a ...

I run COAWST forecast and make open boundary by roms_master...m file from HYCOM model.
But i seen John Warner said: zeta variable of Hycom data is not well.
So where i can get other zeta to replace zeta of Hycom?

you can also use our COAWST forecast to get open bc's for roms. We run romw+swan coupled daily, and have output available on a thredds server

I use make_NCEP with parametters following:
I run model from 1/6/1997-31/8/1997
tinit= 151
Yorg = 1997
Ymin =1997
Ymax = 1997
Mmin = 6
Mmax =8
Dmin =1
But when run model, appear error sms_time.
ncdump roms_frc file following:
netcdf roms_frc_NCEP2_Y1997M6 ...
